《Geno-{psyber}》──このバンド名の読み方は、仮にジェノ・サイバーとして、その正体がまったく不明なヴェイパーウェイヴ・クリエイターなんだ（☆）。
この人は2019年・秋、アルバム“Simulations of Sorrow”で、おなじみのレーベル《B O G U S // COLLECTIVE》からデビュー。そして今20年11月、第2作として、同“II”をリリースしたところ。
で、その“II”の感想文をちょっと。
このアルバムは全16曲・約51分を収録、その全体的なテーマは、きわめて悲観的なディストピアSFみたいなものと考えられる。ふんいきが重い……っ。
そして第1作からそうなんだけど、このジェノさんのサウンドは、サンプリングがベースではありつつも、かなりめんみつに造りこまれている。〈よくぞここまで造るものよのォ〜〉と、すなおに感心させられる。
ちなみに、Bandcampページの下のほうに並んだタグらの中には、〈Glitchwave〉などという恐ろしい語が見つかる。そう言われてみればグリッチ的な音も出ているんだが、しかし耳に痛いようなところはないのでご安心くだい。
で、すごくちゃんと造ってるし、ふんいきが出てる、力作である、賞賛に値する──。
そうなんだけど聞き通して、〈もうちょっとでも、おちゃめとか、ウィットみたいなポイントが欲しいかなあ〉というのが、自分みたいなふざけたリスナーの感じ方だった。
このジェノさん、制作の力は確実にすぐれたものがあるので、ほんとにそこらを……まあオレ個人の希望として、ね！

Geno-{psyber}, a Vaporwave creator whose identity is completely unknown. He made his debut in 2019 with the album “Simulations of Sorrow” from the familiar label B O G U S // COLLECTIVE. And now in November 2020, the second work was released as “same II”.
This album contains a total of 16 songs and about 51 minutes, and the overall theme is thought to be a very pessimistic dystopian science fiction. It's heavy...
And, as it has been from the first work, this Geno sound is extremely detailed, even though it is based on sampling. It's a very well-made work, it has an atmosphere, and it deserves praise.
However, listening through it, “I want a little more playful and wit-like points in this work” was the feeling of a frivolous listener like myself.
