《アバドン》さんは、フランスの人だと伝えられるヴェイパーウェイヴ・アーティスト。2021年からの活動が、観測されています（☆）。
なお、このステージネームはアルファベットで書くと、“Abaddon”。『ヨハネによる黙示録』にて語られる、破滅と奈落の天使のことであるもよう。
さて。このアバドンさんによる作品たちは、何とかウェイヴといったヴェイパー内部の既存サブジャンルには、収まっていません。
言われております形容らの中では、グリッチ・ポップ（Glitch Pop）が、もっとも的確かと思われますが。
そのサウンドで、まずもっとも特徴的なのは、K-Popの要素や関連美学の導入でしょう。あわせて、ニッポンめいた要素も多少。
そして20世紀末へのノスタルジアではなくて、21世紀の〈いま〉の素材やムードらを大量多量にMIXし、凶悪粗暴にグリッチさせ緩急をつけて、こころよくもはかり知れない混とんを作っています！
そしてまとめ方は大いに異なりますが、〈ナウ〉的な意味でハイパーポップに接しているところもあるでしょう。まれにですが《トラップ》的なビートが鳴っているのは、めったになされないことです。
……それはブラウン管のテレビを眺めていたよき時代の物語、ではなくて。このSNS全盛時代の青少年らがまじまじと凝視しているスマートフォンのLCDスクリーン上で交錯する、セクシーな人々やきらびやかな“商品”たちへの欲望──申すまでもなく、“すべて”が商品であるこの世界──そして裏おもてに隣接するアビスの闇があります。
その代表作であるとご本人も言うアルバム、『うそつき』。そのラスト曲の末尾に、何かの鳥の美しいさえずりが聞こえますが……これは、“何”でしょうか。
享楽を求め、羨望に悶えて狂った私たちの、苦悩の一夜の終わりを告げている……それは知らせの声なのでしょうか。
そして誕生した新しい日、新たな救いや朗報はあるのでしょうか？
……そして、朗報です。現在までのアバドンさんの最高の達成と見られる二大アルバム、『Perfect Fake』（2022）と『うそつき』（2023）が、この2024年6月、めでたくヴィニール盤発売への運びとなりました。
とくに後者は、私の思った2023年ヴェイパーのNo.1傑作アルバムです!! これを機会にぜひアバドンさんの、驚くべきサウンドにふれる人の多くなることを！

ああその、とても小さな声で、とても小さな難が感じられることを告発いたしますと……。
このたびの《Geometric Lullaby》レーベルからのアバドン作・二点のリリースは、ともにアルバムアートを新たに起こしています。そこまでの力の入りよう、と解釈されるでしょう。
ですが私個人の好みは、ともにオリジナルのアートのほうが……と。いや、ことによったらもとのグラフィックに何か権利上の問題とか、そうかも知れませんが！

アバドン: Perfect Fake (2022), うそつき (2023) - Your Sublime Glitchy Smile…
アバドン (Abaddon), a Vaporwave artist reportedly from France, seems active since 2021.
And アバドン's works do not somehow fit into the existing subgenres of Vaporwave. Glitch Pop may be the most apt description.
The most distinctive feature of its sound, it is the introduction of K-Pop elements and related aesthetics. There are also a few Nippon-esque elements.
Composed of "now" materials and senses that are parallel to hyperpop.
And instead of nostalgia for late 20th century, it mixes in large quantities the elements and moods of this 21st century, glitching them viciously and roughly, creating a chaos that is both delightful and immeasurable!
……It is not a story of the good old days when people watched CRT TV. The stories of this age of SNS, that young people stare at smartphones, on their LCD screens, intermingling, the desire for the sexy people and glittering luxful "commodities" ─ we are living in the REAL world in which "everything" is a commodity, you know ─ and then there is the darkness of the Abyss adjacent to the back of the screens!
And... In June 2024, announced that, two of アバドン's greatest accomplishments to date, “Perfect Fake” (2022) and “うそつき [Liar]” (2023), will be released on vinyl.
The latter, in particular, is the No. 1 Vaporwave masterpiece album of 2023 IMO! I hope that this will be an opportunity for many people to experience the amazing sound of アバドン!
